5 Ringed Time Controller , Classic & RTD

Due to the poor result (In my mind anyway) of my last Time controller Project I have scoured the lands (or Googled) looking for pictures of this elusive creature and found these, so in the classic set I shall be doing the colour scheme of the middle picture.



and the RTD will be in this colour scheme of light Blue and Silver.

stripped the Daleks down and gave them a Bleach bath to get rid of the surface grease.


Once it had all dried I then took it outside and primed it.


The Red prime is the Classic and the White prime is RTD.

OK, very excited...i loved version 1.0 but this is looking to be amazing

OH, both classic and NuWho!

Decisions, decisions, decisions....

Have really taken a close look at the middle picture and it seems more and more like it is a Gold/Silver and the Red is a reflection of the fire.
I intend it to be Red with Gold Shoulder slats and Gold waist band, Gold Neck Rings including the extra 2 in the cross, and of course Black Hemi's.

Have made the decision that the Classic Time controller will be a mergence of "Time Controller" Dalek and "Mutation of Time" Dalek.
I have test fitted the Shoulder mesh to determine how much of the shoulder section needs to be removed.





I have now primed the shoulder section and intend to spray it Red then hand paint the slats Silver then dry brush the mesh in between the slats Silver.
I now need to prime the Neck Rings ready for a Silver Spray. I am doing this so all the Silvers are the same shade.

The RTD has had its 1st & 2nd Coat of French Blue and as above all the "Pieces" will be painted Silver.



Have not painted the Neck section due to the difficulty of painting the Neck mesh.

have completed the Spraying part to both figures, did a quick test fit on the Classic


I may need to create my own neck rings as the circles are larger below the provided rings.
Lining up the posts could be another trial.

Have taken them apart again, Had to remove the paint I had sprayed on at the neck as it was making putting on and taking off of the neck ring V difficult.
Have given both project a first coat of silver and shall do the second coat some time this afternoon.

Have given the parts that needed it a 3rd coat, The Dome will be fitted with 3mm LED's



On the RTD I have cut the lower neck rings but seem to have cut it a bit short as there are a few gaps, luckily this can be rectified as I still have the other half of the neck rings.

Latest Update, all painted and Neck rings fitted, took these photos and then glued the first X rings on.



Hopefully these should be finished by tonight.
