It was better than "Deep Breath," and that's all I'm really asking for from the rest of this season's episodes. It was clever, but not as good as the previous three episodes. Could have used more "easter egg" mugshots.

Actually, this episode could be in the running for all-time best episode with the word "time" in the title. Granted, that's not saying much.

Does that include the original series?

Actually... yeah, it probably is the best episode with Time in the title.

By episodes, I meant "stories," as in complete serials.

Pick the best. Most of those stories feature some major crime against Whodom. No need to go into details.

Out of the modern era, I would say "The Time of Angels" is the only competition for "Time Heist." From the "proper" era, the real competition is "The Time Meddler" and maybe "The Time Warrior," though I haven't seen it in ages so I can't really judge.

Now if I were to include all those Hartnell episodes that had individual titles, there's episode two of "The Space Museum" ("The Dimensions of Time") and episode two of "The Chase" ("The Death of Time"). No competition there. However, the final episode of "The Daleks' Master Plan" is called "Destruction of Time," so that could be considered the best episode with "Time" in its title...when it gets found by Phillip Morris, that is.

Contrary to seemingly the rest of the Whoniverse, I actually really love 'The Time Monster' and don't understand the dislike for it. One of my favourite Pertwee stories. Then again, I also love 'The Invasion of the Dinosaurs' so I'm not exactly conventional. I'd probably rather watch 'The Time Monster' over 'Time Heist' despite really enjoying this episode. And if it counts, I love 'The Daleks' Master Plan' even more so I'd probably rather "watch" that.

I really enjoyed this one. The episodes seem to be getting better. Cool plot and just the right amount of mystery.
